Premium Intensive Course

The school is located in a great location. The staff is quite friendly and the students create a lovely international atmosphere.
However, if you have already a higher language knowledge (meaning C1), than it becomes harder to develop. Your not the target client and there won't be other students of that category really represented. I am thankful, that the office finally agreed to change the programme at least.
Otherwise, the lessons are following a good planned curriculum with focus on all types of language knowledge.

Lyon Bleu International is a wonderful school to learn French in Lyon. Although my time here was short, I learned so much. The teachers are excellent, and the learning approach is both effective and enjoyable. I truly appreciated the warm and professional atmosphere. I will definitely come back!

I was disconcerted to find that my two weeks began with week seven of a course, but the instructor was absolutely fabulous. I just decided I would roll with the punches and absorb as much as I could. I knew that two weeks was not going to make me fluent. the classes were small. The facilities at the school were very basic but nice and clean. The woman I lived with spoke no English so That helped a great deal all in all. It was a very positive experience. I loved Lyon and spent much time just wandering the streets.. Since I was there in August, there weren’t many people because I guess most people who lived in Lyon were on vacation. I cannot say enough about how wonderful the local public transportation is. I bought a bus card for the month and downloaded the TCL app and could find my way anywhere very easily. The card was good for buses trams and the Metro. All in all it was a very positive experience.

The classes were great. As a former teacher myself, I am picky about instruction and it was clear that your instructors are well-versed in teaching best-practices for language-learners. It was a nice combination of individual, group, and partner work. Great job including current events topics as well as current media (movies, music).

I had a wonderful experience at Lyon Bleu in Lyon, France! Our teacher was excellent. I took the A1 intensive course. Our professor Lorène was really good! she only spoke to us in French which forced me to learn quicker and retain the information. I even started speaking French with my classmates when class was over or during break time. By the end of my 2weeks here, I was able to convey basic needs with people at the store or restaurants. I spoke slow but everyone understood me. While I still need to continue my learning, I feel that I am better at retention. The location is in a good area (6th arrondissement) with many cafe’s and stores nearby. I didn’t stay at student housing so I don’t have any comments on it. Each week there are a list of school sponsored activities that students can sign up for. It’s really fun and a great way to meet other students and practice your French! My favourite was the champagne and cheese tasting. It was super informative and really fun! The staff are very kind and helpful. The other students that I spoke with are equally motivated to learn so it’s a very positive learning environment. If I am back in Lyon, I would definitely sign up for another course!

The location was perfect. Very easy to get to. Facilities were well suited to learning. The teachers were very good at adapting their teachings to suit the level of each student. Would highly recommend!

The school was easy to access, close to the subway, with several classrooms, organized by level, and excellent teachers who encouraged the practice of all skills. The school offered cultural immersion with trips and activities. The host family I stayed with was more than welcoming, with an attentive mother who encouraged the use of the language every day through long conversations. The environment was very pleasant to be in, close to the school and the subway. The classes were truly within the official program of the Common European Framework, with students from several countries. I was able to experience intercultural immersion. All the school staff were attentive, friendly, polite, and ready to help us. It was an incredible experience! I loved it and made great progress in all my language skills. I liked the school so much that I extended my studies to the intensive course, studying in the afternoon as well.

Very much enjoyed my stay at Lyon Bleu and my host family! The school is well organized, classes are productive and the teachers are enthusiastic and supportive! The intensive-course is great to maximize your progress in a short time!

My course was really short, but I enjoyed the four days I was there. The location of the school was fine, and I think the teacher was very good, for example she used different teaching methods, which made the classes interesting. I didn't get to try the social activities, but the seemed cool. The classroom was a little small, but it was okay.

I felt unwelcomed at this school. There was no welcoming event or meeting.
The woman at the front desk totally ignored me on my first day, when I stood
by her desk to ask questions. Some other lady had to come out
of her office to speak with me. The morning meetings were unpleasant because
the class was too crowded for the room and the AC

Both teachers were excellent. They had different styles and approaches but made the lessons interesting to me. I particularly liked going to the market and the Musée de Confluence with Constance and the Parc de la Tête d’Or with Céline. The thing I found most difficult was having extra long lessons due to the impact of public holidays.

I really enjoyed how easy it was to get to, to begin with. From the 2 months I was there I greatly improved my understanding of the language and vocabulary. Marie-Hélène and Vitor were especially inspiring and seemed to genuinely care about teaching and it made coming to school to learn the language less stressful and overwhelming. Had I been able to stay in France longer I would have happily stayed longer and really fine tuned my comprehension of the language.

All very good and excellent level, good organization

I had a very good experience at Lyon Bleu. I did one week intensive course for my holidays. The whole process was easy and organised. My teacher was very good and patient and helpful, and we had plenty of work to do at home if we wanted, and we were learning very good stuff, with a variation on all aspects of the language, listening, writing, and oral.

I was only in Lyon for one week, and Lyon Bleu was a terrific place for an intensive learning atmosphere. I loved learning from students from all around the globe, and I know I would have benefited from staying on much longer if I had been able.

The classes were interesting and useful, especially the individual ones. The trips made to visit the city were interesting, I enjoyed them very much. I was hosted by a very kind and nice woman, she made my stay even better. The only problem at Lyon Blue was the WiFi: it doesn't usually work, and when it does, it was extremely slow.

I was very happy with my experience at Lyon Bleu. The school is very organised and my teacher, Emilie, was excellent. I was a total beginner but learnt so much within a two week period. I was placed into a class that was above my level, but my teacher did a great job at catching me up. In addition to my classes, I also chose to take individual lessons which I found extremely beneficial. The school is in a fairly central location and organises a number of optional extra-curricular activities. My fellow students were young and old and came from a range of different countries which was nice. I organised my own accommodation.

I loved my experience at Lyon Bleu International. The teachers were very good and the classes were very dynamic, but there aren't as many extra activities as they say on the website. The housing was also very good, I stayed with a very friendly family.

I highly recommend the teachers. I had classes with 3 of them and I was satisfied with all of them. I made huge progress in speaking by taking private face to face classes. Tailor-made classes developed my language skills like no other until now.

I was there for a week, a little too short. However, the professors I had were excellent! The class I was placed in was perfect. The level was good and the energy was there. If I have to do it again, I would take two weeks.

I enjoyed the classes, finding both of my teachers well prepared with interesting and varied activities suited to the level of the students. The location was central and since I arranged my own housing, I cannot comment on the housing organized by Lyon Bleu.
I do, however have one negative comment regarding my placement level. I was told by the examining teacher that I would be in the advanced class, but was placed in an intermediate class. This surprised me but I accepted the decision and performed the work of the class. At the end of the first week, the teacher told me that she thought I should be with the advanced group. She arranged the transfer to that group, where I felt capable of performing the work. My concern is that there was no effort made by the administration to explain what had happened.

I loved my stay in Lyon and hope one day to return. When that happens, I will continue to improve my French at Lyon Bleu.

The homestay was very good as the hostess was very friendly and generous, also the housemates. I went to the school on bike everyday in 30 minutes as it's cheaper and faster than public transport as tube or bus, which takes more than 45 minutes until the school. All teachers were very professional and they know how to teach. There were good teaching methods.

What i disliked were some rooms without air conditioning where I was in the first week and it was difficult to stand in class.

The classes were very professionally conducted. Appropriate level for me based on the pre-test and interview. The teacher Manu was amazing and very professional. I thoroughly enjoyed my time.

Number of students in the classes was good, I liked not having a crowded class.
Our teacher was Manon (I am not sure if her name is spelled like this though). She was nice, patient and friendly.
Location of the school was very good. I easily reached there everyday by metro.
I did not like at all not having breaks during the classes. You must put at least one break so that students refresh their mind and focus on the lecture better!
In tutorials we had more than 2 people. I think tutorials must be in person, maybe with 2 students sometimes, but never more than 2 students.
City tour organised by the course was nice. I liked it. Also the movie sessions were good.
I was not glad with my housing. The whole family went on holiday, their nephew and her friend were at home but they were not really talking to me. They were nice in the beginning, but after a while the friend of the nephew was really acting weird, cold, and distant to me which made me feel uncomfortable at home. Who does she think she is?! I did not pay to be treated badly!! The nephew was polite but talking to me little. Why did I chose to stay with a french family then!?! I just can’t believe that my host family went on holiday when I was there. It was rude. If they want to go on holiday, they shouldn’t accept any student.
At least the apartment, shower, my room and stuff were good.

The Lyon Bleu was a good experience for me, because I don't know anything of French language and I learn the basic things, now I can talk and write with new friends. Almost I met a lot of people, teachers, students and more. Thank you for a great experience.

Actually it's difficult to answer your question because I was in Lyon during 2 weeks. In this short period everything was great. The family where I lived was very friendly and responsive. Everyone in school was ready to help in case of some problem. The language course was structured very well and strongly logical. Besides courses the school provided possibilities of different activities after studies. It's difficult to reveal the improving of my language skills, but I really became more confident in my ability to be understood.

It was a fun time in Lyon. With interesting people, fun classes, and a really nice environment.

overall, it was a great experience. The school was really good, and the teachers were too. The location of the school was central, but the housing was quite far.

I found the level of teaching quite good: well-structured, stimulating, varied and really helpful. The teacher (Eve, I can't remember her family name!) was definitely the best French teacher I've ever come across. I also enjoyed the ateliers - the afternoon workshops on phonetics, writing and so on. The excursions and the visits were also well organized. The living accommodations - Residence Rue Gambetta - were quite dissatisfactory. Very noisy and not very clean.

school was good. teacher was fantastic, i really liked her and all the classes were fun. only issue is too many people speak english but this is the case with the whole of france. also everyone was very young... 18/20s. would like people to be a little older. the home i stayed in was very nice. parents were lovely, daughter was a moody teenager who did not have any patience with me. would have preferred it if there was either no child at home or a younger child. overall was great.

Everything was very good; the facilities, the classes and there where plenty of activities arranged by the school. I had two teachers during my two weeks there and one of them was not that good unfortunately, I was quite disappointed when I was asking questions that she couldn't answer. But everything else was super!

There is nothing to add really, but If I have to give constructive criticism I would say that this is a French course in France and I think the syllabus should be more phonetics-oriented.

Classes were every morning, and the first three hours of lesson (on vocabulary or grammar) were followed by two hours of atelier (I did the intensive course), very useful to pratic notions learned in the morning.
Teachers were very well prepared, always having enough photocopies for each student and answering to all our questions.
The building is confortable and luminous, with a very good coffee-machine; the walls in the common room are completely covered of posters regarding social activities, excursions, concerts, etc.
I didn't ask for housing, because I have a friend here in Lyon.
I was so impressed by teahcers' attention and their optimal level of teaching, that I booked other two weeks.

Very good city, very good school. The city has the perfect size: not to bog, not to small. I made a lot of friends and learned a lot of french.

The class is perfect size. The teacher gives chance for interacting with everyone. The school is very close to the city center. I like how the school arranges the class schedule with every subject in a week, and tells us the activities in the city which really encourages us to be a part of local culture.

The teachers are very nice and they make you feel very comfortable very quickly. The classes don't have many students and so the course quality is good.
